Rancho Santa Fe, California

The Egg Ranch Project tells the story of two homeowners who wanted their home to be a reflection of the symbiotic relationship between nature and their dedication to taking care of it.

Appropriately named “Egg Ranch”, this project consisted of expanding the existing kitchen to accommodate their love of cooking and food preparation. Natural materials and light were harnessed in an effortless way to make being in the space a joy at all times of the day. A design influence of rustic texture and southern charm were spread throughout the home. The project scope included a new kitchen, walk-in pantry, breakfast nook, dining room bar and laundry room.

“I’ll start by saying that until this project, I have always relied on my own design sense. I felt comfortable knowing my style and translating it to reality. Given the scope and size of this project, we engaged a designer, Mimi Estelle Studio. Mimi was absolutely amazing, highly creative and professional. She found the balance we were seeking between function, light tones and wood. She challenged us to be bold in our hardware, fixtures, use of stone and arches. The floor plan is mindful of our lifestyle and large family. The result is a highly functional, modern farmhouse with an hint of traditional elegance. We are so pleased and beyond happy with our new space. It’s absolutely stunning and fits us and the rest of the home perfectly. Thank you, Mimi. You’re simply the best!”
